Q: HELP A small company produces both bouquets and wreaths of dried flowers.?
The bouquets take 1 hour of labor to produce, and the wreaths take 2 hours. The labor available is limited to 80 hours per week, and the total production capacity is 60 items per week. Write a system of inequalities representing this situation, where x is the number of bouquets and y is the number of wreaths.
What I REALLY need is to Write System of Inequalities and be able to make a graph with the x points and the Y points and which way to shade it. THis is the last question on my final and I am lost
A: x + 2y <= 80
x + y <= 60
Q: How do I clean/dust a dried grapevine wreath with flowers and ribbons?
It is in the shape of a heart and there are dried flowers all over it and a ribbon...any ideas?
A: Spray the wreath with some febreze and set it in front of a fan....
Q: Do you know of any recipe that incorporates a LOT of dried bay leaf?
As a gift, we received a big wreath of dried bay leaf for the kitchen, which has been very aromatic and nice to have during the holidays. But this is recipe quality bay leaf and it says to use it with your cooking. It will go stale if left out for too many weeks, so I'm looking for a way to make a big batch of something that uses more than just a couple of bay leafs which is typically all that one adds to soups and stews.
Any ideas?
A: I don't believe there is one single recipe that calls for a lot of bay leaf. What I do is to put the bay leaves in a freezer baggie and them store them in the freezer. I bought a bunch of spices while I visited Istanbul, Turkey and this is what I did with all my spices including saffron.
Q: Ever notice that people with the dried out, brown Christmas wreaths still hanging on their house are liberal?
I mean, come on libs, how hard is it to take a wreath off of a nail?
Just pure laziness
Lira, my point exactly!
A: I noticed my neighbors have left their Christmas lights up for the past three years. And they have those icicle lights too. But they are Democrats. :)
Q: Any idea how to shape a grapevine wreath that has already been shaped and dried into a circle shape?
I wasn't sure what would happen if I tried to soak it, then start to reshape it. Is there any possibility that this would work?
A: put it in a pan or tub of warm water and let it soak until it becomes more pliable. Then shape it with you hands, using rope or bungee cords to hold the new shape. Dry....And if you can, lay it out in the hot sun to dry.
I have done this with smushed baskets.
Q: is it a fire hazard if you have a gas log set for your fireplace and there is a dry wreath hanging above the?
mantle of the fireplace. it looks like the pilot light is buried pretty well under the logs, if something fell in could it catch fire?
also, is it risky to have something dry too close to the fireplace? could a pilot light ever shoot a spark?
A: gas is volatile....anything that you have hanging over a pilot could be a hazard....if it falls into the fireplace you could be safe if it stays there but if it falls out then you have trouble...i wouldnt suggest hanging anything on the mantle unless you are there to keep an eye on things...if it is putting off heat then yes there is potential for something to heat to the point that it ignites although the distance from your mantle to the flame should be far enough... its better to be safe than sorry - i just wouldnt do it
Q: I am looking for a product to use on dried tree branches. ?
If you do crafts you have seen the "picks" that you buy at stores like "hobby lobby" that look like they have "ice" on them. You pay an outrageous price for these to make wreaths and other crafts. Does anyone know of a product that would give this effect? Thanks for anyone who has an answer.
A: My teacher used to use lux soap flakes (white) and white glue mixed with glitter mixed into a paste and then coated onto branches, used to look really great. If you can't get the lux flakes grate some from a bar of white soap Thanks you just reminded me of it will give it a go myself.

Q: How can I preserve dry autumn leaves to be part of a homemade wreath or decoration?
I wanted to do this project with my children, have them go out and pick pretty leaves with me for this, but I do not know what will work best to preserve the leaves, make them hard and shiny, maybe. Or should I just bake dough leaves and paint them and glaze them? If so, how could I do it, please?
A: we do areally neat project with leaves every year , i have my kids go out and pick the leaves they want and we cut two square piecies of wax paper that will fit over the leaves i get crayons that are fall colors and pound them into little chunks then put the first piece of wax papper on the bottom and lay the leaf on it and let the kids sprinkle the colors of crayon the want all over the leaf and wax papper then put the other piece of wax papper on top and put between two old rags iron the leaf and wax papper until the crayon is melted. then hang them in your windows and they look like stained glass leaves.

Q: How do I set up Excel to record inventory, +when received, -when used = total on hand?
I make wreaths and I need to keep track of all the silk flowers, dried flowers, forms etc that I need to work with. I'm not real good with the formulas for excel. All I need is to add the number received, subtract the number used which equals the number on hand. Quickbooks keeps tract of the actual cost and value of my assets for me. I just want this for my information. Thank you all for your help!!!!
A: Drop me your email. I will do one and send it to you. Easier than explaining...just look at my formulas...will only take a minute...really...

A: pads
Q: How do you make a wreath?
I want to learn how to make a fresh wreath out of real flowers. I know they dry out quicker, but I think they are really pretty. My question is how do you put it together and do you buy something that will keep it together?
A: Carol H. gave good information. Also there is a wire wreath form for fresh flowers. It is round and has prongs sticking up. You gather up a good sized handful of flowers and greens and trim the stems to the proper length and lay them on the ring and press the prong down tight over the stems. You repeat this all the way around the ring until all the prongs are filled. This can be very pretty, but it does all dry out quite quickly so it is best to use material that dries prettily, like straw flowers or babies breath.
