Q: I am starting a new business selling wreaths. Does anyone know where I can get wreath boxes to ship?
I have looked at all kinds of shipping supplies, but no one has exactly what I need. Should I just ship them in regular boxes or get actual wreath boxes? I need wreath boxes in different sizes ranging from 18x18 all the way to 38x38. I would like the height to be around 6-7". Does anything like this exist? I know I have seen actual cardboard boxes actually shaped like wreaths with the wholes inside. That would be perfect. Please help.
A: Ask your local florist where they get their boxes....
You might also check with UPS, they give free boxes when you have a business and need to ship things. My cousin sells stuff on ebay and they give her boxes for free.....
Q: Would it be OK if we were to hang wreaths on our apt doors and put doormats in front of our apartment doors?
Do we have to discuss anything with the landlord/apt building manager (super) before we hang wreaths on our apt doors, painting the walls, hanging pictures on walls, removing carpets, putting a doormat in front of our apt door?
A: anything on the out side, you will need to find out the policy for the complex, look around do others have things hanging on the door?
as toward the unit it self, what does your lease say about modification to the unit? removing carpets? what is the purpose? you could be required at the end of the lease to return to the way it was when you rented it
Q: How can I find some different ideals for Christmas wreaths?
I need some cheaper ideals on how to make wreaths.
A: One idea would be to check on line and see how they are decorating their wreaths or you could go to your local craft stores and see what they have. You could go out into the country to the woods and see it there are vines hanging in the trees. Then find the owner of the property and see if you can cut them down for free or how much they would charge. If they want to charge you let them know that you are aware of the fact that eventually they will kill the tree and take over everything in that area.
Q: A small company produces both bouquets and wreaths of dried flowers. The?
A small company produces both bouquets and wreaths of dried flowers. The
bouquets take 1 hour of labor to produce, and the wreaths take 2 hours. The
labor available is limited to 80 hours per week, and the total production capacity
is 60 items per week. Write a system of inequalities representing this situation,
where x is the number of bouquets and y is the number of wreaths. Then graph
the system of inequalities.
A: You need to be in the homework section.
Q: How do the pre-lit Christmas door wreaths work -- battery or electric? ?
I've seen pre-lit Christmas wreaths on front doors in my town. They look so nice, but I wonder how they are powered. I never see an electrical cord running from them. Do they run on batteries? Thanks.
A: Yup batteries! (well actually now that I look online it can be either!)
http://www.amazon.com/Pre-Lit-Indoor-Outdoor-Christmas-Wreath/dp/B000P3HWJY sounds like it's plug-in

Could someone show me how to solve and how graph this please? Thank you!
A: The first restriction is labor time. As it takes 1 hour to make a bouquet and 2 to make a wreath, the total amount of hours spent to make x bouquets and y wreaths is x + 2y.
As the labor is limited to 80 hours, x + 2y ≤80. This is a linear line, so you only need to know two points to sketch it. When x = 0, it crosses the y axis, so 2y = 80, y = 40, one point lies at (0,40). When y = 0, x = 80, so the other point is at (80,0). Connect the two points for your first line.
The other restriction is the number of items. As bouquets and wreaths are both single items, the total number of items is simply x + y. As this must be less than or equal to 60, we can say that x + y ≤60.
The points for this line are found in a similar manner. x = 0 gives y = 60 and a point (0,60). y = 0 gives x = 60 and a point (60,0). Connect these two for you other line.
As both equations are less then or equal to the constant, the range of all possible work is the area below both lines (not going past the axes as you can't get negative amounts of items).
Q: Are the decorated green wreaths taht are around at Christmas considered religious?
Would it be offensive to give a decorated wreath to a person of Jewish faith?
A: Nope, they're just symbols for a holiday that has been secularized over time.

Q: where do you hang your wreaths?
my partner and I are in a disagreement and I was wondering what the consensus was on wreath hanging. Its a floral wreath and in my mindset I say it should be hung on the door outside.
He says it should be hung inside. My problem is its kinda ugly but it was a gift from his sister inlaw and neither of us want to offend her.
I have never in 30 years seen a wreath on a wall inside the house exception being Christmas time.
I guess I should describe the wreath and out style in the house.
The wreath is a bright silk floral with pinks yellows etc. The house was recently renovated and furnished modern conservative contemporary. The kitchen is painted pineapple fizz, with honey maple cabinets, green granite counter tops and black appliances. The living room is a light lilac, very neutral color and black and off white furniture. The living room matches the kitchen.
If i put the wreath inside it would stand our like a sore thumb. The rooms themselves pop and are like those you see in magazines and the wreath well looks like something created with things picked up at the dollar store and is very flamboant.
A: i agree with u
Q: where can i find the mini wreaths that people hang in their windows at christmas?
looking for the mini wreaths that people hang in their windows at christmas time
A: I bought mine at Michael's, but I'm sure you can find them in most craft stores. I bought red, pre-made bows that had twisty ties and fixed those to the bottom of the wreaths and then hung them on the window using the clear 'burp' plastic hangy things also found in the craft store. (Sorry, I'm having a brain fart)
Q: What is the best way to hang wreaths on your outside windows?
I don't have anywhere to put a nail... all metal and don't want to poke any holes... any suggestions???
A: The way I do it is to take thin green craft wire and loop it around the wreath and then run it up to the top of the window, then down the inside to the lock for the window and tie it to the lock. That way you don,t have to put any holes in your windows and no nails are necessary.
Q: how do i go about making twig and wispey wreaths?
how do i soften the branches, & can i use any kind of them. Somone i once knew a while ago soaked them in her tub, as i recall. thanks to all who respond & happy crafting!
A: They were right!!!! They need to soak in water about 24hrs.
Grapevine is the best and easiest to use.
Q: How does one use Glycerine to preserve evergreens for garland and wreaths?
I like to make my own garland with fresh evergreens but would like to preserve them in glynerine so they last longer - I don't know how long this process takes. Thank you
A: I've never heard of using glycerine for this purpose. But you can use an antidessicant that you buy from most L&G Centers. Bonide has one called Wilt-Stop and the most widely used is Wilt-pruf. They come in concentrates or ready-to-use sprays. You just thoroughly spray the needles and branches and let them dry before using them. Some people also put the cut end of the branch in liquid (hot) bees wax to seal the end. Store them in the cold until you're ready to use them. Even with these measures it will only last a 4 to 5 weeks tops before the needles start to drop.
If you need longer than that consider artificial. Some looks so real now that our customers sometimes have to touch it to know if it's real or not.
Q: Any good ideas for flowers for a fresh flower wreaths?
I want something like carnations with a big top that's easy to cut off and put into a foam wreath holder for my wedding center pieces. Any other ideas?
A: Daisies go well with carnations :)
Q: What vine plants other than grape can be used for forming wreaths?
A: My favorite is honeysuckle. It is strong, yet easy to work with; it makes light weight, dainty wreaths; availability is good, low to the ground. It grows back quickly if you don't ravage it. In my shop, I use it for garland as well.
