Q: cards?????????
what is the order of a deck of cards? for example, king then queen, then whatever comes next, i just need to know the excat order.
A: A,K,Q,J,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2
and they go Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs
Q: What cards from gas stations or stores do you have on your key chain?
What store/gas station cards do you have on your key chains? My friend and i are having a contest to see how many "rewards cards" or "instant savings cards" that we can get on our key chains. Do you have any ideas? I already have a Kroger card, and a CVS card.
A: I had a Sonic discount card on mine but it recently expired ( Much sadness and unhappiness I must get a new one )
Q: How much should i sell these baseball cards for?
First off i have about 4,700 baseball cards total. All of these cards are from the years 1991 to 1993. I have about 1,000 Fleer 1992 series cards including 50 rookie cards. About 2,000 upper deck cards with approx. 50 rookie cards and 10 collector edition cards. And the rest of the cards are a mix of pinacale, studio, and topps series 91 92 cards.
Oh and if you have any cards that i should look for that may be valuable tell me!
A: take it to a couple card stores, and see who offers the most
or sell it on eBay. im sure some little rich mommys boy will want them thinking he is making a huge investment
Q: How and where should baseball cards be sold?
My dad recently bought a baseball collection from an estate sale. The stuff had never been sorted through, and after doing so, we found some amazing stuff (signed baseballs, augtograhed posters cards, sheets of uncirculated cards). He asked me to try and help sell some of it for him, but the sheer volume that we have is making it ridiculously hard (we had to rent a storage unit to hold his stuff!).
I know a lot of things that we have aren't necessarily valuable. There are cards that we have a thousand of that may not be worth the box that they are in. I did a little research and found a pricing guide at beckett. But unless someone is looking for the card, it's not necessarily as valuable as they say it might be.
Other than ebay/yahoo auctions, is there a place to list the cards/other items we have to sell? Is it better to sell it to a store rather than list each of the cards separately? Or, if selling online, should I try to keep these in sets?
A: If you have complete sets, definitely sell them as sets. If you break them up, you will never sell each individual card. EBAY is probably the website that you will get the most money for them, but it will be a lot of work to list them all, package and ship them. Definitely make sure you research the "worth" of the card before you start the auction. Also the condition of which the cards are in, play a major role in how much you will get for them.
As a huge baseball fan and a collector of cards for years, I'm excited just thinking about what you may have. Can I have a peak? :)
Enjoy.
Q: What weight card stock should I use for greeting cards if I want them to be sturdy?
I guess what I'd like to know is, what weight is the card stock used in Hallmark or American Greeting cards? I've purchased some packages labeled card stock and they are barely heavier than 24 pound typing paper. I'd like something heavier. Thanks for your help!
A: Hallmark sells a package of blank greeting cards that's 85 lbs. You can buy it at Hallmark or from various stores online.
Q: How much would these hockey cards be worth?
My friend just inherited a massive collection of hockey cards, all in excellent condition, some autographed by the player, some framed in those glass-like frames for valuable cards, and a pack of about 500 or more that were not opened. Most of them are packed in a cardboard box unprotected (but still in great shape) and the others are in card albums, you know, those binders with the plastic pages for placing cards in. In total, there are over 5000 cards. How much would his collection be worth? Would it depend on who he sells them to? He's got all kinds of cards, possibly many duplicates too.
Well, no shit I'd need to find a card collector to ask, that's what my friend's going to do, but I want to know how much his collection will be worth without the wait of getting enough gas to go to the city and find a card collector. Come on, we live in a small town with low income here, we're barely getting by, and you snobby rich bitches don't give a fuck.
A: THAT EAZY YOU NEED TO FI ND A CARD COLLECTOR.THEY WOULD BE THE ONLY POEPLE TO ASK.
Q: What gift cards can you use to pay your bills with?
Heres my problem. For most holidays i get gift cards, thats great but i would love to find a gift card that i could use to pay my bills. So heres my question, if someone gets me a Simon (visa) gift card can i use the amount on that card to pay say my Chase bill? Or if i get a american express gift card can i use that to pay my Discover card bill?
A: So long as the gift card has the appropriate credit card company (at least for VISA or Mastercard) you can use them to pay bills.
Q: What is the probability that two cards from two decks on the ith card are identical?
Suppose that we turn over two cards simultaneously from two well shuffled decks of cards until there are no cards left in either deck. What is the probability that two cards on the ith card are identical?
A: When you first look at this problem it seems very difficult because you have to account for the option that which ever card you drew on the rth draw from deck 1 cannot be the ith card in deck 2 and so on.
However, if you consider deck 1 to just be one possible permutation of the the 52 cards then the probability that any one card would be in the ith position is 1/52.
To confirm this by simulation I wrote a short bit of code in R.
deck <- 1:52;
sims <- 1000;
prob <- c();
for(i in 1:sims)
{
s1 <- sample(deck);
s2 <- sample(deck);
prob[i] <- sum(s1 == s2)/52;
}
mean(prob)
the out put of the 1000 trials was 0.01975
1/52 = 0.01923077
Q: What are the cards contained in Leaf Green and Emerald Pokemon Trading Card Game theme sets?
My kid and I play these and some of the cards got mixed in with each other. I would like to straighten out the decks and would like to know what cards each deck contains by name and number of cards.
A: i'm not sure
try going to serebii.net or pokebeach.com to find out
i think the list might be there
Q: How many bank accounts and credit cards should I have?
I am currently a college student with 2 checking accounts (Wamu- 3 years & BOA- 1 year) and 1 credit card (Citi- 1 year). I have always met the requirements for my checking accounts and paid all my credit card bills on time. As for loans, I do have about $10,000 of student loans in debt. I was wondering if it is okay for me to get another credit card. Also, many say that having a lot of credit cards are bad for you. What is the reccomendation of how many bank accounts and credit cards should I have so that my credits would not go down? Thanks in advance!
A: It's not uncommon to have multiple bank accounts with different banks, from my past and current experience, I primarily do all my business with one bank if possible. I'm going to list the types of accounts that you should have in order to prepare yourself financially:
1. Checking account- This is the primary tool to not only monitor your finances, but to pay all your bills on time.
2. Savings account- This should be used as a primary reserve that should be used in the event of emergencies and as a backup reserve to your checking account.
3. Traditional/Roth IRA- This should be your primary retirement account. Anytime that you have a 401K,402g, or 403b plan, and plan to switch employers, this would be the account to move or "rollover" your retirement savings to.
Now as for credit cards, You should have 2 major credit cards and 1 department store card. Some people have more credit cards, but actually fewer cards established for a longer time, should be all that's necessary. The longer you establish credit by making payments on time and managing your available credit responsibly, the credit limit can and usually is increased to where that will be all you need. Some people have multiple credit cards for whatever reason, but the 2 most important things to remember when using them is to pay on time and manage your available credit.
Q: What would be a way to "laminate" cards without the expense of laminating? Modge Podge?
I am making a little deck of home-made playing cards out of card-stock and photographs. I want the cards to be durable and somewhat water resistant. The cards are small (2.5" x 2.5"), and I think getting them laminated would cost a fortune and be a pain to cut neatly. Do I have any other options? Would painting Modge Podge on to both sides of the card make for durable cards, too? Are there any other ideas?
A: I find Modge Podge to be a bit tacky, even when dry. I suggest spraying them with high-gloss polyurethane.
Q: What sports card packs are the best for finding insert cards?
I am a huge sports card collecter. But a lot of times I end up buying a pack that contains duds. The more I look the hardest it is to find a good pack with a rare card. I like older cards, but usually the packs that contain old cards are off brand packs with so called "randomised inserts" but those companies are the ones that go through the cards to find the good ones to sell in 10.00 packs. Please help me find the good cards without having to spend uddles of money
A: My advise is to never buy packs from an open box!
The reason is, there are actually people that make their living going from store to store to search those pack for the inserts (high value card).
I am speaking from experience as I personally know someone who does this for a living. He would search packs at Walmart and Target and then sell the cards online or to a card store. He actually goes to about 10 stores a day. He even have a 50-50 deal with a few card shop owner to search packs at their shop also. The way he does it is by feeling the packs and also weighing the packs. Inserts (jersey card, etc) usually are thicker or have a different texture.
Of course, I am not saying that you would never get anything of value if you buy packs from an open box because there are some high value card that just could not be differentiated with the regular card simply by feeling the packs or weighing them (autograph for example) but your odds are just worse.
Another reason not to, is that most serious collector would keep on buying from the box until they got the high value card/insert and then stop buying so usually, card shop owner or retailer would combine a few "searched" box into one box to make it look like a full box.
To conclude, save your money until you could afford a full box, buy the box and keep opening packs until you get the high value insert (use the odds listed on the box) you are suppose to get, then sell the rest of the packs online and let someone else be the fool.
Q: What organization collects calling cards for troops?
I am trying to find a charity or group that accepts calling cards and sends them to troops overseas. Every year at my daughter's birthday we collect items to donate to some charity. I want to do something for the troops this year. I don't want to collect money and I thought calling cards would be great. However I can only find charities that allow you to purchase the cards online. Time is running short and I NEED HELP! Are there any groups that will accept the cards? Are there any other groups that collect any kind of items to send? THANKS!!!
A: Check the website www.doonenicething.com
I believe they send packages to troops. CLick on "Ideas"
Q: How to convince my dad that debit cards are safe to use?
I constantly fight with my dad about the benefits of debit cards. He insists that you have absolutely NO protection if someone steals your debit card, but with a credit card you don't have to pay. From my understanding, they have changed this and debit cards are safer to use now, even if they aren't as good as credit cards. What kind of protection is there for debit cards now?
A: Check with your individual bank. Their Web site will certainly have all their policies spelled out in detail, and you can show your dad exactly what it says there.
For example, here's what my credit union says about their debit/ATM cards:
"My Liability for Unauthorized Transactions and Advisability of Prompt Reporting: I must tell you AT ONCE if I believe my ATM Card, Check Card, or PIN has been lost or stolen. Telephoning is the most effective way of keeping my potential loss to a minimum. A written notification to you must follow my telephone call. If I do not properly notify you, I could lose all the money in my account (plus my maximum Line(s) of Credit). However, if I believe my ATM Card, Check Card, or PIN has been lost or stolen, and I tell you within two (2) business days after I learn of the loss or theft, I can lose no more than $50.00 if someone used my ATM Card, Check Card, or PIN without my authorization."
